OPEN HOUSE @ IIST

As part of the National Space Day celebrations, IIST will host an Open House on August 11, 2025. 700 students from 24 schools, primarily government and tribal institutions, have been invited for this programme. The event aims to ignite curiosity and interest in space science and activities and achievements of Indian Space Programme among young learners by offering guided visits to IIST’s state-of-the-art laboratories, interactive sessions with faculty members and researcher scholars, and engaging demonstrations. A special highlight of the day will be live demonstrations and exhibits by various student clubs of IIST, showcasing their innovative projects and activities. We believe that the school students will relate better and engage more effectively with IIST student community. The event while celebrating the historic landing of Chandrayaan, also aims to connect ISRO’s inspiring space missions with the dreams and aspirations of young students, encouraging them to see themselves as part of India’s exciting future in space exploration.
