National Space Day

Theme:"Touching Lives while Touching the Moon: India's Space saga".

India had successfully landed its Chandrayan-3 Vikram Lander on the lunar south pole region on August 23, 2023. To commemorate this feat every year August 23rd has been declared as National Space Day by Government of India. The theme selected for National Space day this year is “Touching lives while touching the Moon: India's Space Saga”

National Space Day 2024

As part of the National Space day Vikram Sarabhai space Centre (VSSC), along with Liquid propulsion System centre (LPSC), ISRO Inertial System Unit( IISU), Indian Institute Of Space science and Technology (IIST) & ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC) is conducting various events in Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep. One day workshop will be conducted at different locations/Schools as part of the National Space day 2024.
