National Space Day

"Towards Viksit Bharat: Innovating, Collaborating and Aspiring to Global Space Leadership".

India successfully landed its Chandrayan-3 Vikram Lander on the lunar south pole region on 23^rd August, 2023. To commemorate this feat every year 23^rd August has been declared as National Space Day by Government of India. The theme selected for National Space day this year is “Towards Viksit Bharat: Innovating, Collaborating and Aspiring to Global Space Leadership”

National Space Day 2026

As part of the National Space day Vikram Sarabhai space Centre (VSSC), Liquid propulsion System centre (LPSC), ISRO Inertial System Unit( IISU) & Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) are jointly organising various events in Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep. One day workshop will be conducted at different locations/Schools as part of the National Space Day 2026.
