Dept. of Space vide letter No. CEPO/CPG/Gen-85/SAP dated 27.01.2026 has forwarded the Action Plan to observe Swachhta Pakhwada from 1st February, 2026 to 15th February 2026 in a grand manner with major focus on spreading Awareness towards sanitation and waste management activities and encouraging competitive spirit towards Swachhta. Various activities in this connection are being organized in VSSC. Major activities include, Mass pledge, Swachhta Thematic Signature Campaign, Mass cleaning drives, Plogging run, organizing technical talk on Swachhta, visiting nearby school and organizing competitions and interactive sessions for children, organizing Skit/Drama on Swachhta awareness, on Priority basis Swachhta makeover of Departmental canteens/cafeterias, curbing single use plastic and discouraging use of plastic within the Centre, Quality testing of drinking water, Tree plantation event, Disposal of scrap and utilizing the space freed in an innovative manner, Fogging and fumigation activities, Preventive medical check-up for Janitorial/Horticulture workers etc.

MASS PLEDGE

Swachhta Pakhwada-2026 was inaugurated in VSSC by administering Mass Pledge by Shri Anand K, DD,MSA/VSSC and Sr.Head, P&GA, at the Main Building foyer of VSSC followed by Thematic signature campaign at various offices of VSSC on 02.02.2026 at 11.hrs. swachhta pledge was also administered in ISRO Staff Quarters and at CISF quarters along with thematic signature campaign

CLEANING DRIVE AT RPP AREA

A Mass cleaning drive at RPP area was conducted on 04.02.2026.

FOGGING AT ALL AREAS OF VSSC

Fogging/Fumigation was done on 04.02.2026 with the help of TVM Corporation at all areas of VSSC viz. ATF, VRC, TERLS, RPP/RFF.

CLEANING DRIVE AT TERLS AREA

Mass cleaning drive was done on 05.02.2026 at TERLS area with the participation of employees, contract personnel and trainees. There were around 150 participants.

PLOGGING RUN

In connection with the observance of Swachhta Pakhwada - 2026, Plogging run from RPP gate to TERLS gate was conducted on 06.02.2026. Employees/Trainees and Contract work forces from RPP/RFF/TERLS area actively participated in the event.
