GSAT-12 satellite is configured around 1000 Kg class (I-1K) bus with Ext C-band Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) based transponders. The satellite was successfully launched onboard PSLV-C17 on July 15, 2011 with a lift-off mass of 1410 kg. The satellite is designed for a mission life of 8 years and was placed at 83ºE longitude.
