VSSC website (https://www.vssc.gov.in) contains information related to VSSC.

Exhibitions are conducted for people to see theachievements of Indian space programme and appreciate the nuances of spacescience and technology.

Celebrations of events like World Space Week duringwhich Centres celebrate Open Day facilitating the visit of students and general publicand conduct various competitions for students on science and space themes.

VSSC also participates in exhibitions, technical conferences, public fairs on science events in schools and colleges providing information on India’s space programme.

RH-200 Launch is carried out by the organisation every month on 3rd Wednesday and the public are allowed to view the launch subject to issuance of passes.

Space Museum

Video capsules highlighting India’s achievements in space as well as spaceapplication projects are produced and telecast on Doordarshan and Victor’s channel are madeavailable to museums and interested educational institutions and governmentdepartments, etc.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION UNDER RTI ACT, 2005

A request for obtaining information under sub-section(1) of Section 6 of the RTIAct, 2005, shall be accompanied by an application fee of Rupees Ten and sent toCPIO/Alternate CPIO or APIOs (as per list given in the RTI portal). There isno prescribed application form for seeking the information. Application can also be submitted through online RTI portal  rtionline.gov.in.

 

Mode of payment of Fee:

An applicant shall make payment of fee of Rs.10/- by Indian Postal Order(IPO) orDemand Draft (DD) or Bankers Chequepayable to Senior Accounts Officer /Accounts Officer of the Public Authority and sent to the concerned CPIO / AlternateCPIO or concerned APIOs to whom the application is addressed to. In case theapplicant wishes to remit the application fee by cash, the same has to be remitted atthe Office of Accounts Officer of the concerned CPIO/ Alternate CPIO/APIO andobtain a receipt. The original receipt to be attached to the application and submittedto the CPIO/Alternate CPIO/Concerned APIOs.

Online Mode

It is requested to visit RTI Online portal(https://rtionline.gov.in) to file RTI applications through online mode with the public authorities under the Department of Space/ISRO. Through this portal, RTI applications/first appeals can be filed by Indian Citizens for all the public authorities under the Department of Space/ISRO and other Public Authorities of Central Government. Payment can be made through internet banking of SBI, debit/credit cards of Master/Visa and Rupay cards.

Offline Mode

There is no prescribed application form for seeking the information. A citizen who desires to obtain any information under the Act, should make an application to the Central Public Information Officer (CPIO) of the concerned public authority in writing in English or Hindi or in the official language of the area in which the application is made. The applicant can send the application by post or can deliver it personally in the office of the public authority.(Details of the Public Authorities of VSSC is available in our website https://www.vssc.gov.in
