(i) Power and duties of Officers
Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre is an establishment under ISRO/Department of Space(DOS). DOS has re-delegated its powers to its constituent ISRO Centres/Units depending upon the financial requirements for smooth functioning of the Centre. Accordingly, Director, VSSC has been given full administrative and financial powers of Head of the Department which is essential for executing the functions of the Centre. Director has re-delegated his financial powers down the line of control upto levels which are required for the operation of functional entities. General duties of an Officer include:
1. Distribution of work among the staff as evenly as possible
2. Training, helping and advising the staff
3. Management and co-ordination of the work
4. Maintenance of order and discipline in the section
5. Work is not held up in any stage
